Sean Davis is generating plenty of interest leading up to the 2016 NFL draft. The Buffalo Bills are one of 18 teams that have or will hold private workouts, private meetings, or dinners with the safety according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. Wilson stated the following on Davis:
Davis has participated or lined up visits, private workouts or private meetings or dinners with 18 NFL teams.
That includes the Houston Texans, Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins, Oakland Raiders San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans.Davis was an All-Big selection who had 88 tackles, three interceptions and five forced fumbles last season. He ranked second nationally in forced fumbles last season.Davis had over 100 tackles as a sophomore and a junior.
In his four seasons with the Maryland Terrapins, Davis registered 313 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, five interceptions, 14 passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, and seven forced fumbles. Last year, Davis led the Big Ten in solo tackles (80).
Davis' NFL.com scouting report notes that the safety has great athleticism, height/length, and is known for his tenacious play. In the last month, Davis' draft stock has been on the rise. He could go as early as the second day of the draft.
