The NFL announced on Wednesday that they'll reveal the 2016 regular season schedule on Thursday night. Opponents of the Buffalo Bills have been known for quite a while but tomorrow is still an exciting time for fans. With that in mind, here are three Bills schedule predictions for the 2016 season.
Monday Night Football returns to the Ralph
The Bills appeared on Monday Night Football in 2015 and lost a close game to the New England Patriots on the road. In 2016, Buffalo receives another MNF game, but this time it's at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
As for who they'll play on Monday Night Football, I'll predict the Jets. Both games, wins for Buffalo, were close 22-17 contests and each team is expected to compete for a Wild Card spot in 2016. If the Bills and Jets face-off on Monday Night Football, it'll be the first time the teams have met on MNF since 1992.
No back-to-back West Coast games
At the AFC coaches breakfast, Rex Ryan stated that he doesn't anticipate Buffalo getting back-to-back contests on the West Coast. Ryan said, ""We’re not going to have back-to-back games. We don’t anticipate having back-to-back games out on the West Coast. There’s teams that do it, but we’re not doing that."
Although Ryan can't control what happens with the NFL schedule, the league actually does Ryan a favor and doesn't schedule the Bills in back-to-back West Coast games.
Buffalo opens the season at home
Perhaps I'm reading into things, but Buffalo has back-to-back road games to end the preseason. After two road games to end the preseason, Buffalo gets to come home for their season opener at the Ralph.
As for their opponent, I'll go with an AFC North team and say that the Steelers open the season versus the Bills.
