Vernon Butler made his pre-draft visit with the Buffalo Bills on Thursday

Butler is a legitimate possibility for the Bills at pick 19.

Vernon Butler made his pre-draft visit with the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs defensive tackle is certainly in play at pick 19 for the team. Buffalo Football Report's Ryan Talbot wrote the following about Butler:

In 13 games, Butler recorded 50 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, two passes defensed, and one fumble recovery with the Bulldogs. For his career, Butler had 168 total tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, three passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble.

Butler, 6'4" and 323 pounds, had a good showing at Louisiana Tech's Pro Day back on March 21. Here's a look at how the defensive tackle fared:

40-yard dash: 5.15 seconds

Vertical: 33 1/2 inches

Broad jump: 9 feet, 3 inches's Lance Zierlein and Rotoworld's Josh Norris have both compared Butler to a former Rex Ryan player: Muhammad Wilkerson.

Butler would certainly be an intriguing player for Ryan to add to Buffalo's defense. It's no guarantee that Butler even makes it to pick 19 in the 2016 NFL draft, but the first round will realistically be the only opportunity for the Bills to add Butler.
