Buffalo Bills GM Doug Whaley spoke to John Murphy on The John Murphy Show on Tuesday night. At one point in the conversation, Murphy asked Whaley about the depth in the draft on the front seven. According to Whaley, this defensive draft class is falling perfectly for the Bills.
"It's exciting for us," Whaley said. "It's well known that we've had some losses on the defensive side of the ball and this draft is falling perfectly for our needs. Again, we won't draft for need but if everything's equal we're gonna go with a guy that's a need. So to have a backlog of players on the defensive line... defensive side of the ball, especially defensive line where we need to get some bodies and at linebacker, we're very excited."
The Bills certainly need to address their front seven early in the draft while adding depth throughout the three days. Hopefully Whaley is correct about the draft falling perfectly for Buffalo's needs.
