The 2015 Walter Payton Man of the Year nominees will be announcing their respective teams third round picks. That means that Buffalo Bills center Eric Wood will go to the podium on Friday night to announce the team's 80th overall pick. Wood just hopes he's not announcing his eventual replacement.
Draft projections have two centers who could be available at pick 80: Notre Dame's Nick Martin and USC's Max Tuerk. The Bills are looking for depth along the interior of their offensive line so adding talented depth behind Wood wouldn't be the worst idea for the team.
Although Wood joked about hoping he wouldn't be announcing a center, something tells us it wouldn't be a problem if the Bills went that route.
No one really knows what the Bills will do at pick 80. Much of their decision will be based on who is at the top of their board at the time. As of late, many mock drafts and draft analysts have Buffalo looking at quarterbacks with this pick, but that's far from a guarantee.
Regardless of who Wood announces, the center will certainly welcome his new teammate to Buffalo with open arms.
