Matt Slauson has begun his visit with the Buffalo Bills

Matt Slauson's visit with the Bills began on Thursday night.

Matt Slauson's free agent visit with the Buffalo Bills began on Thursday night.

According to the Buffalo Bills website, Slauson is meeting with Buffalo’s coaching staff tonight and his visit with the Bills will continue on Friday.

In his career, Slauson has played and started in 85 games. He's been a 16 game starter in five of his six seasons in the league.

Slauson spent the first three seasons of his career with Rex Ryan on the New York Jets. He most recently played the last three seasons with the Bears. That means that Slauson is also familiar with Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer.

Last year, Slauson was among Pro Football Focus' top 10 guards in the NFL in pass protection.

Although Slauson would likely be an upgrade to Buffalo's current right guard, John Miller, Mike Rodak of ESPN reported that Buffalo is looking at Slauson as an option at right tackle.

There's no telling when Slauson will make a decision on his next team, but Michael Gehlken, a beatwriter from the San Diego Union-Tribune, stated that Slauson plans to take time choosing his next home.
