Report: Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins has a broken foot

The bad news continues to roll in for the Bills.

When it rains, it pours and apparently the Buffalo Bills are in the midst of a downpour.

The team has already announced that first round pick Shaq Lawson will undergo shoulder surgery on Tuesday. Now, Tyler Dunne of The Buffalo News is reporting that Sammy Watkins has a broken foot.

Watkins isn't expected to miss any regular season playing time, but as Dunne notes, it's another injury to their offensive star.

Since entering the NFL, Watkins has dealt with injuries to his ankle, calf, hamstring, glute, and hip in his career with the Bills.

Few wide receivers were better than Watkins at the end of the 2015 season. In Buffalo's final nine games of the season, Watkins caught 49 passes for 900 yards and seven touchdowns. His chemistry with Tyrod Taylor has already been established and Watkins remains a player who seems poised to breakout in 2016, but it's unfortunate to see Watkins suffer another injury entering his third season in the NFL.
