Buffalo Bills sign 3rd round pick Adolphus Washington

The 80th overall pick is now under contract with the Bills.

The Buffalo Bills have signed third round pick Adolphus Washington to a rookie contract. According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Washington is set to make $3.189 million.

Washington's deal with the Bills is a four-year contract. The defensive lineman registered 142 total tackles, 25 tackles for loss, and 13.5 tackles for loss in his career at Ohio State. In Buffalo, Washington is expected to contribute immediately for the Bills. The defensive lineman was named by Pro Football Focus as Buffalo's best value pick. PFF said the following on Washington:

Best: Adolphus Washington, DT, Ohio State (Rd. 3, No. 80)

Washington won’t check a lot of athletic boxes, but he was quietly the seventh highest graded interior defender in college football last year, and particularly disruptive as a pass-rusher. The Bills need help in that area. First-round DE Shaq Lawson and second-round LB Reggie Ragland also represented good value picks.

Shaq Lawson, Reggie Ragland, and Cardale Jones remain unsigned among the rookies in Buffalo's draft class.
