Andre Roberts was released by the Washington Redskins two days ago. It didn't take long for Roberts to drum up interest in free agency and according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Roberts is set to visit the Buffalo Bills tonight and tomorrow.
Although Buffalo has no shortage of wide receivers on their roster, Roberts has a legitimate chance to make the 53-man roster if he signs with the Bills. Roberts has experience as a kick and punt returner. These are roles that the Bills are looking to fill and after Dri Archer failed to report to Buffalo, the Bills went back to the drawing board.
In his last two seasons in Washington, Roberts has registered 28 punt returns for 208 yards and 37 kick returns for 941 yards and a touchdown. Roberts can also contribute for the Bills at wide receiver. With the Redskins, Roberts recorded 47 receptions for 588 yards and two touchdowns in the last two seasons.
Roberts may have other suitors around the league, but if he signs with Buffalo he has a legitimate chance to see playing time as a receiver and returner with the Bills.null
