Report: Stephon Gilmore will not report to OTAs

Ty Dunne of the Buffalo News reports that Stephon Gilmore will not report to OTAs.

Stephon Gilmore had his fifth-year option picked up by the Buffalo Bills and is currently set to make $11,082,000 in 2016. Although this is significant boost over what he had been making, the cornerback is looking to sign a long-term deal.

As Gilmore's reps work on getting their client a long-term deal, it's being reported that Gilmore won't be at OTAs. Ty Dunne of The Buffalo News was the first to report that Gilmore will not be in attendance.

Dunne mentions Josh Norman's deal in his article, and it's very possible that Gilmore's reps are looking for a similar deal. Buffalo Football Report showed that Gilmore's career stats are very similar to Norman's.

OTAs are voluntary, so Gilmore isn't required to report. That said, by not reporting Gilmore and his reps are still sending a message to the Bills. At this time, it's unknown how close the Bills and Gilmore's reps are to a new long-term deal.
