Marquise Goodwin set a new long jump record at Alexander Stadium

Marquise Goodwin continues to impress as he prepares for the Rio Olympics.

Marquise Goodwin continues to impress as he prepares for the 2016 Rio Olympics. The Buffalo Bills wide receiver and Olympic hopeful set a new record at Alexander Stadium in the long jump of 8.42 meters.

The jump was a part of the Birmingham Grand Prix's Diamond League event in Birmingham, England. Goodwin shared video of his jump on his Instagram account.

Goodwin's impressive jump in Birmingham comes after the wide receiver set a world leading 8.45 meter long jump at the Guadeloupe International Athletics Meeting.

With Goodwin's recent success, it's looking very likely that the wide receiver will head to Rio. This is outstanding news for Goodwin, but if he's in Rio he'll miss the majority of Buffalo's training camp at St. John Fisher College. The Bills have quite a few wide receivers fighting for roster spots and the players in attendance at camp will have the inside track at winning a roster spot.
