The off-season is funny. Media outlets are all over the place when it comes to the Buffalo Bills. Some NFL analysts predict the Bills could end their playoff drought in 2016, where other analysts are projecting the Bills are only favored to win five games. What the Bills do on the field is yet to be determined, but one thing we know for sure is that Buffalo has a very talented roster.
Pro Football Focus ranked every NFL roster in an ESPN Insider article and listed Buffalo as having the NFL's 14th best roster. The analytics site listed Buffalo's top players as Marcell Dareus, Richie Incognito, Cordy Glenn, Ronald Darby, and Jerry Hughes, and praised the play of Tyrod Taylor in 2015.
There is a lot to like about the Bills. Tyrod Taylor's 2015 season was a huge boost to a team that previously had one of the worst quarterback situations in the league. He was far from perfect as a passer, but he looked more than viable in his first year starting. He also added 405 rushing yards while scrambling and another 151 on designed carries.
The defense could be even better than it looks if their top three draft picks make an immediate impact. Pass-rusher Shaq Lawson has already undergone surgery to repair a damaged shoulder, but linebacker Reggie Ragland and defensive tackle Adolphus Washington could both plug huge gaps with a good debut season.
Whereas the Bills finished with the 14th best overall roster, they ranked 7th in the AFC. As for the rest of the AFC East, the New England Patriots finished 1st, the New York Jets came in 23rd, and the Miami Dolphins came in 26th on the list.null
