Don't look now, but there may be a dark horse candidate in the running for Buffalo's No. 3 wide receiver job. Some Buffalo Bills fans have assumed that the competition is a two man race between Leonard Hankerson and Greg Salas. That said, a day three pick from the 2015 NFL draft has really stood out during OTAs and mandatory minicamp.
Dezmin Lewis spent the majority of the 2015 season on Buffalo's practice squad, but it sounds like the wide receiver has a good chance of sticking on the team's 53-man roster this year. At the end of Buffalo's mandatory minicamp, Rex Ryan specifically praised the play of Lewis.
Buffalo viewed Lewis as a project player when they selected him last year and it seems he's learned quite a bit in just one season. At 6-feet-4-inches, Lewis, along with Gary Chambers, are the tallest wide receivers on Buffalo's roster. If Lewis can stick on the roster, he could become a red zone target for Tyrod Taylor in 2016.null
