Buffalo Bills center Eric Wood still has plenty of good football left in him, but when his career is over he may have a future in coaching. Mike Rodak of ESPN asked Bills head coach Rex Ryan which player has a future in coaching and Wood was the choice.
Rodak wrote, "I asked coach Rex Ryan this question recently, and he had to think about it for several moments. His choice was Wood, who Ryan says is "smart as heck" and has a presence around his teammates. Ryan also believed that an offensive lineman becoming a head coach isn't far-fetched in an age when Mike Munchak, Doug Marrone and other former O-linemen have ascended the coaching ranks."
Wood makes plenty of sense on the offensive side of the ball as he's viewed as a leader in Buffalo's locker room and as Ryan noted, "smart as heck." Although Wood was the choice that Rex Ryan made, Buffalo has other candidates who may have a future in coaching such as Kyle Williams and Corey Graham.null
