ESPN's Louis Riddick joined WGR-550 on Wednesday morning and the analyst did not have good news for Buffalo Bills fans. Riddick told the radio station that he's heard first round pick Shaq Lawson could miss anywhere from half of the 2016 season to the entire 2016 season.
Early reports following Lawson's shoulder surgery in May had the first round pick missing 4-6 weeks during the regular season, so Riddick's report is a bit of a surprise. Sal Capaccio of WGR-550 reported on Wednesday that he's heard Lawson will not miss the amount of time that Riddick shared over the airwaves.
Capaccio wrote, "However, a league source familiar with Lawson’s rehab told me that although there is no specific timetable for the first-round pick’s return as of right now, they are clearly not expecting him to miss that much time, and even expressed surprise at Riddick's comments."
No one knows exactly how long Buffalo's first round pick will be out of action, but the sooner Lawson can return to the field, the better.
