Richie Incognito is coming off of the best season of his career. The Buffalo Bills left guard was among the league's elite run blockers last year and was strong in pass blocking as well. His season ended with a trip to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl.
Entering 2016, Incognito is not resting on his laurels. On Thursday, the left guard shared a video on Twitter with the caption "aging and unathletic."
Those were the words used to describe Buffalo's offensive line by Bill Polian, the team's former GM. In late December, Polian talked about his willingness to consult for the Bills and one area he'd improve is the team's aging and unathletic offensive line. This comment did not make much sense.
As pointed out in a previous article on Buffalo Football Report, Buffalo's offensive line isn't that old.:
The team’s starters, when healthy, are Cordy Glenn (26), Richie Incognito (32), Eric Wood (29), John Miller (22) and Seantrel Henderson (23).
Polian was certainly wrong about referring to the line as aging, and his unathlethic comment is questionable at best. Although Polian's comments were far from accurate, they're still motivating Incognito.
The guard mentioned the phrase yesterday when plugging his app.
Incognito is fired up for the 2016 season and that's great news for the Bills.
