Buffalo Bills vs. St. Louis Rams Game Preview

The Bills and Rams continue their preseasons this Saturday when they face off at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, New York with it's new AstroPlay surface. This will be the Bills first preseason match up at home. The Bills (1-1) are coming off a poor showing in a 37 - 24 loss at Tennessee. The Rams (2-0) look to continue their unbeaten preseason record after a strong 26 -16 win against the defending Super Bowl champs on Monday night football.

The Rams offense will be a good test for what looks to be an improved Bills defense. Wide receivers Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce should be a good matchup for Bills cornerbacks Antoine Winfield and Nate Clements. Rams running back Marshall Faulk should be a good test of the Bills Pat Williams and Sam Adams.

St. Louis Rams:
The Rams are coming off a subpar season after playing in the Super Bowl two of the previous three seasons they missed making the playoffs in 2002. In part because of injuries that cost part of the seasons to QB Kurt Warner and RB Marshall Faulk. This game will mark a return to roots for former Bills Defensive End Bryce Fisher who played in St. Louis after being cut by the Bills last year. It will also mark the return of former Bills RB coach Steve Fairchild who is currently the Rams offensive co-ordinator.
Injuries: FB Dan Curley (calf), DT Brian Young (back), S Aeneas Williams (Leg/ankle)

Buffalo Bills:
The Bills look to improve on their 8-8 season of a year ago with key free agent signees on defense specifically LBs Takeo Spikes and Jeff Posey and DT Sam Adams. This will be former Rams LB London Fletcher's first game against his old team. This game will also mark the first game back for Bills WR coach Fred Graves who has been recovering from prostate cancer surgery the last few weeks.
Injuries:OT Gary Byrd (knee), TE Dave Moore (back and hamstring)
