Bills make roster moves

The Bills released five players this afternoon in order to trim down for the 65 player roster limit by 4:00pm tommorow. They also placed another player on injured reserve and re-signed another player.

The team's roster currently stands at 70 players including one NFL Europe exemption (RB Ken Simonton). Those that were cut were:

WR James Jett TE Ray Thomas OG Richard Seals CB Ahmad Brooks S Tony Driver

The team also placed undrafted free agent OT Gary Byrd on injured reserve and re-signed QB Jason Johnson. Johnson was re-signed primarly because of the injury to third string QB Travis Brown and gives the team another option at QB for this Thursday's final preseason game against the Detroit Lions.
