Clements likely still THE MAN

Nate Clements will probably continue starting at right cornerback, with veteran Ken Irvin playing in special packages such as nickel and dime coverages. And right guard Jerry Ostroski is ahead of schedule on healing his broken leg. Gregg Williams said that Ostroski is participating in meetings now. He might quite possibly be available by the last few games of the season.

"I'm all about playing the best guy," said Gregg William, "as long as that guy is fully healthy."

Right tackle Jonas Jennings (foot) is doubtful. Jon Carman may play in his place, ahead of rookie Marques Sullivan, because Carman is better at right tackle than Sullivan and Sullivan is a better left tackle, according to Williams. Left end Phil Hansen (elbow) and wide receiver Jeremy McDaniel (ankle) are questionable. Kickoff returner Tony Driver is probable. Defensive tackle Leif Larsen (elbow) is doubtful, meaning rookie tackles Ty Robertson and Ron Edwards will likely suit up again.
