WR George Wilson added to practice squad

The Bills have signed WR George Wilson to their practice squad. Wilson joins the team after he had his contract terminated by the Detroit Lions last week. Wilson had been on their practice squad after joining the team as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Arkansas.

Wilson replaces Drew Haddad who was added to the Bills active roster last week following the release of Bobby Shaw. Below is his predraft report (courtesy of theNFLexperts.com)

Name: George Wilson
Position: WR
Class: Sr
School: Arkansas
Conference: SEC
Ht., Wt.: 6'0, 213
40 Time: 4.57
Grade: 3.21

BIO: Three-year starter that led the Razorbacks in receiving during his senior and junior campaigns. Caught 50/900/6 last season after 49/626/7 in 2002.

POSITIVES: Reliable wide out best as an intermediate-range target. Displays good field awareness, finds the open spot in the defense and uses the sidelines well. Extends and lays out for the difficult grab or gets down to scoop up the low throw. Plays strong and does an adequate job blocking.

NEGATIVES: Lacks the quick release off the line, not a sharp route runner or a receiver that stretches the defense deep.

ANALYSIS: Wilson offers a good degree of reliability and consistency. Does not stand out in any single aspect athletically but could find his way onto a team as a fifth receiver.
