Bills add Jason Peters to active roster

The Bills have signed OL/TE Jason Peters to their 53 man active roster.

Jason Peters first joined the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Arkansas. He was cut during training camp and had a tryout with the New York Giants before rejoining the Bills when he was signed to the team's 8 man practice squad.

While he came to the Bills as a TE, he might be an offensive lineman due to his pure size. At 6-4½, 336# he's built more like an O-lineman and despite running a 4.9 forty at the combine he's not particular quick off the line of scrimmage. His activation might be an indication the Bills aren't sure of Mike Williams' status and Peters could be used as an emergency backup behind either Williams or Marcus Price.

To make room for Peters, the team placed DE Constantin Ritzmann on the injured reserve. Ritzmann had yet to dress this season after joining the team as an undrafted free agent out of the Univeristy of Tennessee.
