2001 SEASON

All-American third-team selection by Football News, joining Joe Ingersoll (1974) as the only defensive players in school history to earn national honors…All-Mountain West Conference first-team pick and Defensive Player of the Year…Extended his consecutive start streak to 46 games, lining up at right cornerback…Recorded 45 tackles (34 solos) with a stop for a 2-yard loss and a forced fumble…Led the team with 17 pass deflections and set school season-records with seven interceptions for 213 yards in returns and three touchdowns, topping the previous marks of six pass thefts by Marlon Beavers (1976), Aaron Mitchell (1978) and Alvin Horn (1986), 164 yards in returns by Beavers (1974) and one touchdown, held by several players, most recently Amar Brisco in 2000.

Arkansas…Opened the season by deflecting 3 passes.

Arizona…Posted 5 tackles (4 solos) and a pass break-up.

Brigham Young…Deflected a pass in the end zone and delivered 7 tackles (5 solos).

Nevada…Registered 6 solo tackles and intercepted a pair of passes.

Colorado State…Returned an interception 12 yards.

Wyoming…Broke up a pass and returned an interception 58 yards for a touchdown.

Utah…Followed with 4 tackles, a pair of pass break-ups and a 24-yard interception return for a score.

Air Force…Closed out his career with 7 tackles (5 solos), a stop for a 2-yard loss, 3 pass deflections and a pair of interceptions, including one that was returned 57 yards for a touchdown.

 

2000 SEASON

All-Mountain West Conference first-team selection…On the Jim Thorpe Watch List (nation's top defensive back)…Started all year at right cornerback, finishing fifth on the team with 46 tackles (39 solos)…Had two interceptions for 39 yards in returns and 16 pass deflections…Also returned a fumble recovery 31 yards for a touchdown.

Iowa State…Delivered 8 tackles (6 solos) and a pass break-up in the season opener.

Brigham Young…Deflected a pass and returned an interception 7 yards.

Air Force…Named MWC Player of the Week as he totaled 3 hits with a pair of pass break-ups and a 32-yard interception return.

Nevada…Set a school game-record with 6 pass deflections.

Wyoming…Registered a season-high 10 tackles (9 solos) and batted away 2 passes.

Utah…Recovered a fumble, advancing the ball 31 yards for a touchdown.

San Diego State…Totaled 7 solo tackles and a pass deflection.

Hawaii…Made 2 solo stops.

 

1999 SEASON

Named first team All-Mountain West Conference by Football News…Led team and finished fourth in the conference and 20th in nation with five interceptions…Also led league and set a school season-record with 24 pass deflections, topping the old mark of 18 pass break-ups by Anthony Blue in 1984…Recorded 52 tackles (43 solos) and recovered a fumble.

Baylor…Turned in college football's most shocking play of 1999 when he returned a fumble 100 yards with no time remaining to hand UNLV a 27-24 upset road win.

North Texas…Scored on his first career interception when he returned a pick 49 yards for a touchdown.

 

1998 SEASON

Started every game at right cornerback…Recorded 41 tackles (33 solos) with seven pass deflections and a pair of fumble recoveries.
