Brown, Ostroski, Office sit out a.m. practice

The Bills worked on final preparations for their first preseason game Friday night, 8 p.m. at Wilson Stadium vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. The team held a walkthrough this morning – their only practice of the day at St. John Fisher College, which was closed to the public – before heading to Buffalo this afternoon.

Left guard Ruben Brown, right guard Jerry Ostroski and left end Kendrick Office did not practice and won't play vs. Cincinnati. Michael Early was in for Brown, Marques Sullivan for Ostroski and Tyrone Robertson for Office …

There was a scary moment when Nate Clements and Billy Jenkins collided in breaking up a poorly thrown post pattern. Clements and Jenkins obviously didn't see each other and they banged bodies before falling to the ground in pain. Trainers ran out to the field with both players down, while their teammates looked on. Jenkins got up first and stayed in the lineup. Clements went off to the side and took a knee. A few minutes later he was smiling, obviously responding to something very funny that someone said to him. All was OK …

The team worked on special teams toward the end of the two-hour practice and then hit the showers.
