FA corner William James to visit Buffalo

Another free agent visit is planned in Buffalo. Philadelphia FA cornerback William James will stop by One Bills Drive on Wednesday, his agent confirmed.

The Buffalo Bills will welcome free agent William James for a visit Wednesday, James' agent confirmed.

The free agent cornerback has also drawn interest from Baltimore, but doesn't have a visit planned there, his agent said.

James has played in the NFL for seven seasons - five for the New York Giants and the past two in Philadelphia. Last season, he made 31 tackles (25 solo), had three passes defensed, and one interception for the Eagles, playing 'nickel' behind Lito Sheppard and Sheldon Brown. In his career he has six picks total.

Philadelphia's cornerback situation improved substantially after the signing of Asante Samuel, a six-year, $57 million deal. Buffalo's top three corners - Ashton Youboty, Jabari Greer and Terrence McGee - were mediocre at best last season. The Bills' pass defense ranked 29th out of 32 teams.
