Bills release Barnes; pick up McIntyre

The Bills cut fullback Darian Barnes on Tuesday and replaced him with four-year veteran Corey McIntyre.

The Bills have released fullback Darian Barnes, and replaced him with four-year veteran, Corey McIntyre. Barnes was injured in the team's week two games against Oakland and was placed on the inactive list for the game against St. Louis.

McIntyre was cut by the Atlanta Falcons at the end of training camp this past summer. He has been on three different teams during his four years in the NFL. He was the special teams captain for Atlanta last season and should be able to fit right into the Bills' formidable special teams squad.

Barnes was picked up by the Bills in the off-season to re-establish the fullback position into the team's offense. He didn't record any rushing yards but had two catches for a total of 34 yards.
