Q & A: Steve Johnson

Wideout talks about his favorite NBA team, what he'd do as president and one crazy fan encounter...

What's your favorite TV show?

"I don't know what to say. We don't get to see TV too much."

Who's your favorite musician?

"Ya Boy out of San Francisco, California. I listen to a lot of local guys."

If you were president for one day what would you do?

"Everything is free for one day. One day might be too long. That might get crazy. Nah, let's stick with that one."

Who's your favorite non-NFL team?

"Golden State Warriors. Hopefully we can make it to the playoffs and make some noise. The league is getting tougher with these rookies coming in.

We got Corey Maggette, Stephen Jackson, Stephen Curry, Al Harrington. They move that ball fast up and down the court."

Who is your favorite non-NFL player?

"I like watching (former Golden State guard) Baron Davis. I just like his whole demeanor on the court. He's always having fun and he has the attitude that he can make any play from anywhere on the court. He has that swagger about himself."

If you could have dinner with any five people who would you choose?

"I'm going to keep it simple. I'd say Esteban Ochocinco, Shaquille O'Neal, Will Smith, my wife and Obama."

Do you subscribe to Shaq and Ocho's Twitter pages?

"I have a Twitter. I have a few followers, but just got on it about a month ago. So I'm still a little bit new to it but it's pretty cool."

Who is the one cornerback you would most like to face?

"I admire Deion Sanders a lot. That was and still is my favorite player. I'd like to play against Deion just to say I lined up against one of the greatest."

What's the funniest thing a fan ever said to you?

"A fan asked me if he could have my helmet and my shoulder pads. What am I going to do for tomorrow's practice? He said for me to ask them to get some more. I was like ‘Come on.' I'm sitting there signing autographs and he says this. He was serious, though! He said, ‘Can I have your shoulder pads and helmet.' And I said, ‘What am I going to wear tomorrow?' He said, ‘Ask them to get you another one, you're in the NFL.'"
