Schon: NFL Week Two Picks

Week One of the NFL season is in the books, CU rebbounds from a complete facial at Cal with a second half beat down on Hawaii, George Karl and Josh McDaniels share advice on how to dump a superstar without losing your job and Tulo and the mullet shine big time in the race for the MLB postseason.

Man I picked a great week to give up smoking…

Let's bang it out first with the Broncos who completely tanked against a team that's about as one dimensional as Glenn Beck's act. Give McDaniels credit for having the package to try and control everything – but the dude couldn't even control his own temper let alone special teams, the rushing game or a pass defense that allowed Jags QB David Garrard the highest single-game passer rating in his entire career.

On the flip side - Seahawks coach Pete Carroll hasn't coached a regular season game against the Broncos in well over a decade and I'm laying odds he's salivating right now over the opportunity to school McD at Invesco - get in - get out and call it an easy 2-0 for Seattle.

I'm taking the over (+4) on televised F-bombs McD blasts this Sunday…

Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki – 14 home runs in a 15-game stretch – I'm speechless.

Props to LeBron James for being voted the sixth most hated athlete in the world according to ESPN – If it's any consolation I'm the sixth most hated member of my immediate family - I can relate…

Here's one from the "Truly Pathetic NFL" file: Chargers and Raiders face home opening blackouts – in fact they may face several blackouts during the season due to poor ticket sales... Not that I'm a math major but this will count as the Faiders 78th blackout since moving back to Oakland in 1995. As far as the Chargers - the only sure sell out at this stage is Oct. 24 against Tom Brady, his hair and the New England Patriots…. Sad state of affairs in the AFC West.
