May 13, 2003 - It was only three days of mini-camp in May, but the combination of Trevor Pryce and Daryl Gardener working side-by-side on the Denver Broncos defensive line looked pretty good. Pryce and Gardener are nearly identical in size - Pryce at 6-feet-5, Gardener at 6-6, and both weighing close to 300 pounds. It didn't matter which side of the line they rushed from. In tandem, Pryce and Gardener often dominated the Broncos offensive linemen.

Three teams sit tied for first at 4-2 while the other three sit tied for fourth at 2-4. The Rhein Fire held off the Amsterdam Admirals 34-27 behind a goal line stand in the waning seconds. Contributions to the win came from Charlie Adams and Nick Rolovich as the Fire climbed into a first-place tie. Linebacker Louis Green's club suffered its fourth loss in five games.
