Dustin Hopkins To Receive CFPA Trophy

Dustin Hopkins will be presented with a Performer of the Year Award during halftime of Saturday's FSU men's basketball game.

Dustin Hopkins, the NCAA's all-time leader in field goals, is the winner of the College Football Performance Awards 2012 Elite Specialist Trophy. Hopkins will accept his award at halftime of Saturday's Florida State-NC State men's basketball game.

Brad Smith, Executive Director of the College Football Performance Awards, will present Hopkins with the 22-inch optic crystal tower, topped with an 8-inch crystal football.

Smith's organization is unique in that it honors college football's top player based exclusively on objective, scientific data that assesses which individuals increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.

Hopkins is the third Seminole to earn CFPA honors, following consensus All-American and current Buffalo Bills punter Shawn Powell and former punt returner Greg Reid.
