It is safe to say that Demaryius Thomas has officially broken out of his early season slump. On Sunday, Thomas caught 8 passes for 226 yards, to go along with 2 touchdown receptions. Thomas also had a 77-yard touchdown reception wiped out by the "Chop Block heard around the world."

The award marks the second time Thomas has been named Player of the Week in his career, and the 55th time a Bronco has won a Player of the Week award.

Prior to his performance in week 5, Thomas had been the target of criticism from analysts and fans alike, in large part due to a lingering foot injury. His contract is set to expire following the season and has been in negotiations with the team on an extension. Sunday was just another reminder of his value to the team.
