Tomorrow night, the Denver Broncos will close out their preseason schedule at home vs. the Arizona Cardinals. The first-teamers are unlikely to play at all, which means we're going to get another extended look at Brock Osweiler.
“I think [QB] Brock [Osweiler] will definitely play the first half," Kubiak said. "Then [QB] Trevor [Siemian] will go from there. Brock could play a little bit more. We'll just kind of see. I expect to get them each half of the game.”
Siemian beat out Zac Dysert, who was waived on Monday and subsequently claimed by John Fox and the Chicago Bears. But Siemian will need one last impressive performance, to push the coaches and front office into keeping him on the final roster.
“[RB] Montee [Ball] and [RB] Kapri [Bibbs] are going to get the bulk of the work in the game," Kubiak said. "They both deserve plenty of touches and they should get them coming out of this game, and they will both play special teams a great deal, too. We talked about the Montee deal. He needs a bunch of carries and he'll get them on Thursday.”
