MHH Fantasy: Studs & Duds, Week 10

MHH Fantasy Czar Khalid Alshami weighs in with his Studs & Duds for Week 10.

Stud of the Week: Blake Bortles at Baltimore Ravens

Bortles has quietly scored the ninth-most points among QBs this season and faces a Ravens defense that has given up the second-most fantasy points to QBs this season.

Kirk Cousins vs. New Orleans Saints

Eli Manning shredded this defense, then rookie Marcus Mariota returned from injury to shred them as well. Cousins will continue the trend.

Teddy Bridgewater at Oakland Raiders

The Vikings are a playoff contender and the Raider defense is still struggling against the pass. With Peterson on the ground, I think a lot of open receivers will be found by Teddy in this one, if he passes through concussion protocol.

Dud of the Week: Derek Carr vs. Minnesota Vikings

This will be a great test for Carr, but against a great Vikings defense, I see Derek struggling, as he has against other elite defenses.

Carson Palmer at Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks, even in a down year, are giving up 13.2 points in the last two games they’ve played.

Russell Wilson vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals have a better team than Seattle — plain and simple. I expect the Cardinals to force Wilson into a few mistakes.

Stud of the Week: DeMarco Murray vs. Miami Dolphins

The honeymoon phase of Dan Campbell in Miami came and went rather quickly. Over the past three games, the Dolphins have given up an average of 31 fantasy points to opposing running backs. That’s bad… like really bad.

James Starks vs Detroit Lions

The Packers need to find some sense of balance on offense to be a contender. With Starks now the top back in Green Bay, feeding him the ball is going to help the team find that balance, making him a good start against the awful Detroit Lions defense at home coming off of back-to-back losses for the first time in years.

Darren McFadden at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs are coming off of a tough week against New York and the Cowboys are in desperate need of a win before Tony Romo returns from injury. For his part, McFadden looks every pit of the top-5 pick he once was and represents the Cowboys best chance to win.

Dud of the Week: Lamar Miller at Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are surprisingly really good on defense under Chip Kelly and their run defense is especially good. The Dolphins are coming back down to earth — their problems weren’t just the head coach.

Jonathan Stewart at Tennessee Titans

The Titans have given up 19.2 points over the past two weeks to opposing running backs and have been great against the run all season. At home, with Mariota under center, and an offense that can score, it looks like Carolina may end up throwing a lot in this one.

Chris Johnson at Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks remain the Seahawks on defense and are looking more comfortable each week.

Stud of the Week: Demaryius Thomas vs Kansas City Chiefs

Thomas’ mother was just released from the halfway house she had been confined to. While she will be unable to attend a game, due to travel restrictions, knowing that he is close to seeing his mom at games has had a huge effect on Thomas. He has been jubilant around the Broncos facilities. In the last matchup against Kansas City, Peyton Manning played awful, yet Thomas was still able to manage 116 yards. Thomas is going to have a huge game Sunday, count on it.

Allen Robinson at Baltimore Ravens

See Bortles, Blake.

Dez Bryant at Tama Bay Buccaneers

If you weren’t already aware, he’s back! Tampa does not have a corner that can come close to covering Dez.

Dud of the Week: Larry Fitzgerald at Seattle Seahawks

Fitzgerald is having a renaissance year, but I don’t think he finds success against the Seahawks secondary.

Jeremy Maclin at Denver Broncos

Even without Aqib Talib, Denver boasts a great tandem between Bradley Roby and Chris Harris, Jr. Maclin should find himself shadowed by Harris for most of this game.

Alshon Jeffery at St. Louis Rams

As I wrote last week, the Rams defense is for real. They get after the passer and are aggressive in the secondary. Jeffrey may find tough sledding in St. Louis.

Stud of the Week: Jordan Reed vs. New Orleans Saints

Did you listen to me about Delanie Walker? I hope so. Are you going to listen to me about Jordan Reed? I hope so, because he has the same excellent matchup.

Kyle Rudolph at Oakland Raiders

The Raiders struggle defending opposing tight ends. Rudolph has an opportunity to make an impact in the red zone against Oakland.

Zach Ertz vs. Miami Dolphins

Granted, this isn’t the best matchup in the world, but Ertz is getting better as the season progresses, as Sam Bradford has been looking his way more and more. It’s only a matter of time until he has a breakout game.

Dud of the Week: Jimmy Graham vs Arizona Cardinals

Move along, nothing to see here, this isn’t new.

Benjamin Watson at Washington Redskins

Watson has seen a career revitalization this season. Unfortunately, I see a bad game for him against Washington, who cover the tight end very well and struggle more on the outside.

Vernon Davis vs. Kansas City Chiefs

For those of you who didn’t listen last week, Davis rewarded you with a ridiculous 9 snaps and zero catches. Please listen now.

Stud of the Week: Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions

The Packers will be hungry for a win and the Lions are, well the Lions.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns

If they get Johnny Football, I love this matchup. If they get Josh McCown I still love this matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos

Peyton Manning is still making questionable decisions. The Broncos haven’t faced a front that can get pressure like the Chiefs since the first time they played the Chiefs.

Dud of the Week: New England Patriots at New York Giants

I’m calling it now — the Pats will suffer their first loss of the season in the Meadowlands. Jason Pierre-Paul will harass New England, who will struggle to replace Dion Lewis and will get torched by Eli Manning.

Tennessee Titans vs. Carolina Panthers

The Titans have a very good defense, but Cam Newton will find a way to make them suffer.

Minnesota Vikings at Oakland Raiders

This will be a real test for Derek Carr, but with Latavius Murray on the ground, the Raiders should still have a good day.
