Peyton Manning Benched, Brock Osweiler Inserted Into the Denver Broncos Week 10 Game

Peyton Manning has been benched in the Broncos Week 10 game vs. the Chiefs. Brock Osweiler was inserted.

Peyton Manning got the all-time record for career passing yards Sunday vs. the Kansas City Chiefs, but that was the only positive aspect of his game.

Manning went 5-of-20 for 35 yards and four interceptions. He was completely out of sync. He played without poise, looking nothing like the five-time MVP Broncos fans have come to know and love.

The Broncos were completely shut out with Manning at the helm.

As a result, Gary Kubiak made what could be a fateful decision to bench Manning and inserted Brock Osweiler more than halfway through the third quarter. The decision was due to performance, not injury.

It'll be interesting to see how Kubiak justifies the decision in his post-game presser and it'll be even more interesting to see if Osweiler plays well.

Could this be the end of an era? Manning's thrown 17 interceptions, after all. This could be the changing of the guard that many Broncos fans have been pining for.

It's not every day you see a guy break an all-time passing record and get benched in the same game.

There could be a new sheriff in town.
