Report: Peyton Has Torn Plantar Fascia

A recent report says Peyton Manning has a torn plantar fascia in his right foot.

Peyton Manning was relieved in the Denver Broncos 26-13 Week 10 loss on Sunday in the third quarter, after struggling and throwing four interceptions.

It was clear he wasn't himself. We knew going into the game that he'd been dealing with a foot and rib cage injury. Now, we learn that he aggravated his foot on the Indianapolis turf.

The Broncos have a good, young backup in Brock Osweiler, who played very well in relief of Manning Sunday. Expect the Broncos to rest Manning for a stretch, opening the way for Osweiler to steer the ship.

The Broncos want a healthy Peyton Manning for their playoff run. At 7-2, they hold a three-game lead in the AFC West. The Chicago Bears are next up on the schedule.
