Brock Osweiler Wisely Walks Away From A Confrontation Caught On Film

Brock Osweiler is no dummy.

Everyone wants a piece of the man on top of the world. Quarterback Brock Osweiler is coming off a World Championship and is on the brink of signing the biggest contract of his professional life.

The young signal-caller found himself in a precarious situation over the weekend but managed to show superhuman self control.

Osweiler was in Scottsdale, AZ in the early hours this past Saturday. After he, his wife and an entourage of friends watched Kelley James perform at a nearby hotel, they stopped at Joe's Pizza to grab a pie.

Osweiler was heckled and after words were exchanged on both sides, TMZ reports then things got heated

One woman tries to confront Brock's wife and Brock uses a stiff arm to push her away. Brock then tries to gather his crew to get into a waiting car to leave the situation.

But one of the men in the other party didn't like that Brock made physical contact with his lady -- and shoved Brock in the back hard ... sending the QB flying toward the waiting car.

Instead of turning and fighting the guy, Osweiler -- who's on the verge of signing the biggest contract of his life -- held his crew back and ordered everyone into the car.

Cops were on scene and helped break everything up ... but the bottom line, Brock WALKED AWAY without an injury or an arrest.

Oh, and one last thing ... during the entire fracas, he NEVER fumbled the pizza box.

Osweiler showed remarkable poise and presence of mind not to retaliate. It's that level of composure that helped him win five out of his first seven starts with the Denver Broncos.

Free agency opens on Wednesday. Osweiler's self control likely helped save him some money in the free agent market.

In the meantime, NFL teams can begin to legally tamper (negotiate) with Osweiler's camp. He has an open three-year contract offer on the table from the Broncos that would pay him about $15 million per year.

He still believes he can get more than that. With Peyton Manning out of the equation, the Broncos can't afford to let Osweiler slip away. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out this week.
