Prescott, 22, will have the opportunity to work out for Broncos scouts and executives just one day after recording an edition of Jon Gruden's QB camp, some segments of which aired Monday evening.
Praised for his athleticism and versatility, some see Prescott as an ideal fit for Gary Kubiak's offensive system. He is a former All-SEC player, and was the MVP of this year's Reese's Senior Bowl.
Last month Prescott was arrested for driving under the influence in Starkville, MS. However, neither of the breathalyzer tests taken at the time were definitive and the result of that case is still pending.
The Broncos have a history of drafting prospects with off-field issues. Both Shane Ray and Bradley Roby, the Broncos most recent first round draft choices, had faced similar problems prior to their selections.
With just two quarterbacks on their current roster, the Broncos will undoubtedly look to add another gunslinger in the draft. Prescott is expected to be a mid-round pick, who some view as a high-upside player with tremendous pro potential.
One scout described Prescott as "intriguing."
"He's big and he can move," the unnamed scout said. Scout.com currently ranks him as the 5th best quarterback in this upcoming draft class.
After working out with the Broncos in the morning, Prescott is scheduled to appear on AM890 in Colorado.
