Wade Phillips is coming off arguably his best season as a professional football coach. He coordinated the NFL's No. 1 defense all the way to a victory in Super Bowl 50—his first Lombardi Trophy in decades of coaching football.
Son of Bum turns 69 later this month. To celebrate, Phillips packed the Bob Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur, TX, and allowed himself to get roasted by some of the biggest names in football and broadcasting.
Phillips began his coaching career at Port Neches-Groves High School, just 11 miles up the coast from Port Arthur. He was honored at the Port Arthur News Homecoming Roast Friday night.
You've seen Peyton Manning, and his brother Cooper, take their good-natured shot at Phillips. Now, here are some highlights of the rest.
