Yesterday, word broke that Miller will be featured in ESPN the Magazine's eighth annual "Body Issue". Its a small comfort to Broncos fans, who want nothing more than to see him back in orange and blue, crushing quarterbacks.
For now, fans will have to satisfy themselves with the images and video captured by the folks at NBC, as they produced their Sunday Night Football promos ahead of the 2016 season.
Miller's decision to suit up in a Broncos uniform for NBC is a bit odd, considering he recently said there's "no chance" he'll play out the 2016 season under the franchise tag.
But, he has been adamant all offseason—throughout the increasingly bitter and public contract negotiations—that he wants to be a "Bronco for life". He's talked about missing his teammates and playing football.
http://www.scout.com/nfl/broncos/story/1681565-5-reasons-you-should-go-p... We all know he plans on playing this year, no matter what happens with his contract. He told us that himself last week on a Netflix talk show. Ultimately, the Super Bowl 50 MVP is doing his best maintain some power posturing with Broncos GM John Elway.
However, its probably safe to say Elway knows Miller will suit up regardless, as well. Fortunately, the Broncos want to keep Miller in Denver. That was made apparent in by the term and total value of the six-year, $114.5 million contract they offered him two weeks ago.
But to get this deal done, Elway needs to come up with about $30 million more in fully guaranteed dollars. Once the deadline gets a little closer, I'm confident the two sides will reach an agreement.
Until then, these images of Miller in orange and blue will have to get you by.
