Denver Broncos Fill 8-of-10 Practice Squad Spots

The Broncos have filled most of their practice squad spots.

The Denver Broncos have filled 8-of-10 of their practice squad spots, following the final day of roster cuts. They're still awaiting word one or two players.

Here's how it currently stands.

Juwan Thompson, RB/FB

Dillon Day, C/G

Taurean Nixon, CB

Henry Krieger-Coble, TE

Justin Murray, OT

Vontarrius Dora, OLB

Ryan Murphy, S

Mose Frazier, WR

The team is hoping to sign Kalif Raymond but he has garnered interest around the league. Outside linebacker Sadat Sulleyman could be that tenth player.

It's good to see that Thompson had some eligibility left, after two full years on the active roster. Dillon Day was a risk to be claimed on waivers, but the Broncos were able to get him back. As a 2015 seventh round pick, the team is not quite ready to give up on Nixon. And it'll be good to have Krieger-Coble available should Jeff Heuerman's health go sideways.

Dora is another developmental edge player who flashed some ability in the preseason. The Broncos really like Murray and believe a year in the system could pay dividends.

Paxton Lynch's favorite target, Frazier, gets thrown a bone. But he's earned it. Murphy looked really good in the fourth preseason game. He was always around the ball.

We will keep you advised of how the last two spots get filled.
