Denver Broncos Bring Back DT Kyle Peko On The Practice Squad, Waive S Ryan Murphy

The Broncos made a couple of roster moves Thursday.

The Denver Broncos recurrent relationship with undrafted rookie defensive lineman Kyle Peko continued Thursday, as they signed the former Oregon State Beaver to their practice squad.

Peko was waived Wednesday to make room for safety Shiloh Keo. When the Broncos began the process of trimming their roster down to the final 53 players, they famously informed Peko that he would be waived. But the team changed their mind, ultimately choosing to keep Peko on the roster to open the season, where he remained until Wednesday. The Broncos really like the kid and see some tremendous upside, hence their decision to bring him back to the practice squad.

Practice squad safety Ryan Murphy, who has his own (in)famous Bronco story, was waived. Depending on how things go on Denver's D-line health-wise, Peko could find himself promoted back onto the active roster later in the season.

For now, the Broncos will keep him on ice, while continuing to develop him under the highly effective tutelage of D-line coach Bill Kollar.
