Huge frame for a tight end. Really quick and fast for someone his size. Has basketball background, which is seen with his footwork. Sinks well into breaks and also can make surprisingly sharp cuts.
Uses good footwork for stutter-and-go routes to ellude covering linebackers. Great acceleration for his size. Carries his weight well on his frame. Moves all over the field and causes all kinds of mismatches.
Is excellent when running fade routes and can box out, using basketball background again, defenders to make the catch. Really good hand-eye coordination. Can contort his body for more difficult catches. Does well in pass protection. Has the desired frame for a typical in-line tight end.
Level of competition. Needs to loosen up his upper body and use it to help him sell fakes on his routes. Needs coaching for his hand usage.
Needs to be coached on how to deal with jams better. Needs a lot of technique work as a run blocker. Ducks into contact. Lunges as a blocker.

Adam Shaheen is one of the most under-the-radar prospects in this draft and all because he went to Ashland. There is so much talent and potential with him that you don’t normally see coming from these small schools.
His athleticism is ridiculous, especially for his height and weight. While he does need work on his blocking, he is a tough and physical player. He has tremendous upside that some tight ends coach is going to want to get a hold of and mold.
Fit With The Broncos
Adam Shaheen has some of the highest upside in the class and can have an impact right away as a receiver. With his size and attitude, with the willingness to take coaching, it is only a matter of time before he gets adept as a blocker.
The Denver Broncos could use someone like him fro their offense. He causes all sorts of mismatches due to his size and athleticism, which could help the Broncos offense tremendously.
