Henderson is an absolutely electric playmaker, who immediately upgrades Denver's passing attack. The Broncos have been missing a true No. 3 receiver since Wes Welker departed.
GM John Elway announced the pick on Twitter.
The former Bulldog solves a lot of problems for Denver. Not only can he make guys miss in the open field, he's a true deep threat that defenses will have to respect.
With 4.4-speed, Henderson can take the top off a defense. Working in conjunction with Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, Henderson gives Denver's two young quarterbacks another weapon in the passing game.
As an added bonus, Henderson can also serve as Denver's kick and punt returner — another position they've struggled to fill for years now. He's a legit threat to take a punt or kick to the house on every touch.
Henderson is widely respected by Mile High Huddle's draft analysts. Nick Kendell got an up-close look at Henderson at the NFL Scouting Combine. If you've been down about Denver's first two picks — Garett Bolles and Demarcus Walker — Henderson is a new addition to get truly psyched about.
Senior Draft Analyst Erick Trickel weighed in on the Henderson pick and what he brings to the Broncos.
Henderson offers a lot to a Broncos offense that needs help. He broke the most tackles in college football and scored once every 5.25 receptions. That isn't all, though. He gives Denver a return man. Henderson is an immediate impact player for an offensive and special teams unit that needs an upgrade.
