Plummer to miss next three games

The Broncos announced today that quarterback Jake Plummer will miss the next three games because of a fractured metatarsal bone in his foot. The injury occured during the Kansas City Chiefs game.

It is believed that Plummer will be sidelined until the bye week, which comes after games against the Vikings, Ravens and Patriots.

Plummer missed part of the San Diego game with a separated shoulder, then play against Oakland and the Detroit Lions. He reinjured the shoulder in the Kansas City game and was held out against the Steelers last weekend.

Steve Beuerlein will get the start against the Minnesota Vikings and Danny Kanell will be the backup. Beuerlein has a 2-2 record as the Broncos starter.
