January 29, 2004 - HOUSTON - You could attend a hundred presentations during Hype Week at the Super Bowl, but then you wouldn't have time to max out your expense account, so you have to narrow it down somehow. When I heard "Broncos" and "dysfunction" attached to the same one, I figured I could skip the rest. You hit the daily double, you quit betting. Or so I've heard.

Wednesday, January 28, 2004 - On Sunday, January 31, 1999, the Denver Broncos won their second straight World Championship by beating the Atlanta Falcons 34-19 in Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami, Fla. The Broncos capped a tremendous season that saw the team run off 13 straight wins, Terrell Davis become only the fourth 2,000-yard rusher in NFL history (Baltimore's Jamal Lewis became the fifth this year) and the franchise become only the sixth to win back-to-back championships.
