Injury Report - Oct. 8, 2004

Friday's Injury Report for this weeks matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers

With Quentin Griffin sitting out of practice for the third consecutive day, his status for Sunday's game remains questionable, giving way to the probability that Tatum Bell may see some significant action. Garrison Hearst, also suffering from ankle problems, has improved to probable and may end up splitting time with Bell in the backfield. The remaining Broncos should all see time this Sunday, albeit in a limited if the injuries persist.

On the Carolina side of the ball, the most significant injury is running back Stephan Davis, who along with Deshaun Foster, provides the Panthers with a great tandem backfield. Davis comes off an excellent 2003 season where the nine-year veteran set several rushing records, including most yards (1,444), most touchdowns (eight), most attempts (318), and most 100-yard games (seven). Listed as doubtfull is former XFL star Rod "He Hate Me" Smart, who has been the teams main kickoff returner for the past two seasons.
