Q & A with Reuben Droughns

Reuben "Hollywood" Droughns addressed the media following Thurday's practice session, speaking about this weeks' matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. Check out the full transcript.

On his expectations for Atlanta's run defense, which surrendered 271 yards to the Chiefs last week -
"They still look aggressive. They have a great core of linebackers, and those guys up front are really aggressive. We are going to have our hands full. It's going to be one of those games that you just have to do what you like to do, and obviously we enjoy running the ball and trying to throw them off balance. It's one of those games that you have to stay focused because they are going to definitely play aggressive.

"They are going to be really upset for obvious reasons. They just gave up eight touchdowns to one of our AFC rivals, and then they get to go out and play us again. It's going to be one of those games when they try to come out and be fired up."

On if Atlanta has to game plan for him and the rest of Denver's offense -
"It's one of those things that you can't just hold all the responsibility on me because there are other guys on this team that are capable of making plays. You have, obviously Ashley Lelie, Jake Plummer can get out of the pocket and make some plays and Rod Smith is definitely still capable of making a lot of plays. You can't just keep all the focus on the running game. You have to try and keep it a balanced attack any time you're playing the Broncos."

On empathizing with RB Quentin Griffin, who tore the ACL in his right knee against the Bengals -
"It's a tough situation because (Quentin) is a good guy, and you never want to see anybody go down to injury. I went down to injury my first year in the league and it's never fun. It's never fun when you have to sit on the sidelines, not able to play, because you're still hungry for the game."
