Garcia, Shanahan set to visit again - Denver Post - Bill Williamson
Monday, March 07, 2005 - Quarterback Jeff Garcia arrived in Denver on Sunday night for a second visit with the Broncos. He met with coach Mike Shanahan in Indianapolis on Feb. 26 at the NFL combine. Cleveland released Garcia, 35, last month after one year with the team. The six-year veteran also has talked to Detroit and Tampa Bay. Garcia, who would come to Denver as Jake Plummer's backup, has a style similar to Plummer's.

Herndon in demand - Rocky Mountain News - Lee Rasizer
March 7, 2005 - Only one NFL restricted free agent switched teams last season. The Denver Broncos could lose two in the next 10 days. Tight end Jeb Putzier will know by Friday if he is staying after signing a five-year, $12.5 million offer sheet with the New York Jets. But he is not the only player in demand. Cornerback Kelly Herndon has a planned visit with the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday. He likely will head to Baltimore after that trip - if he is around that long.
