2005 Schedule Released

The 2005 schedule was released by the National Football League on Wednesday, and the Denver Broncos will be featured in four nationally televised regular-season games, including one appearance on Monday Night Football, a Thanksgiving Day game, an ESPN Saturday night contest and one of two national Saturday games on New Year's Eve.

Denver, which also is scheduled to play in five doubleheader games, will receive national television exposure in a total of nine regular-season games while also playing in a nationally televised preseason contest.

The Broncos kick off their 46th season at Miami in Week 1. Denver makes an appearance on Monday Night Football in the regular season for the 14th consecutive year in a Week-3 showdown against Kansas City at INVESCO Field at Mile High. The Broncos will play the franchise's ninth Thanksgiving Day game at Dallas in Week 12 to mark their second such contest against the Cowboys, who hosted Denver in its last Thanksgiving game in 2001.

Denver concludes the regular season with three consecutive Saturday games, including a visit to Buffalo in Week 15 for an ESPN prime-time telecast. The Broncos will play one of two national Saturday games on New Year's Eve in Week 17 at San Diego in their regular-season finale.

In addition, the Broncos will play one nationally televised preseason game on CBS when they host Indianapolis on Aug. 27 in a contest featuring Denver's playoff opponent from the last two seasons.

In all, the 2005 Broncos will play on national television 10 times, including preseason and regular-season doubleheader telecasts.
