May 10, 2005 - With visions of three-time Pro Bowl punter Todd Sauerbrun performing at altitude dancing in their heads, the Denver Broncos brought the embattled veteran to their Dove Valley complex for a visit Monday. Now the Broncos must decide if the often-controversial 32-year-old is worth a trade. A Burst of Fire: Miree Makes Most of Chance - DenverBroncos.com - Andrew Mason
Monday, May 9, 2005 - Brandon Miree's frustrating season in the NFL Europe League took a dramatic turn for the better this weekend. After carrying the football just one time in five games as he languished on the bench and the practice squad, Miree exploded for the Rhein Fire during its 24-19 loss to the Hamburg Sea Devils, turning a short pass into a 55-yard touchdown reception and amassing a total of 81 yards on four catches for a 20.3-yard average. Miree didn't start, but he did start the scoring in the game by turning a short pass from Scott McBrien into a 55-yard touchdown with 2:30 left in the first period, giving the Fire a 7-0 advantage.
