The Denver Broncos finished the preseason as the only unbeaten team in the NFL after beating Arizona 30-21 Saturday night. Quarterback Bradlee Van Pelt solidified his position as Jake Plummer's backup with three touchdown passes.

September 3, 2005 - TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Even though none of their starters played, the Denver Broncos beat the Arizona Cardinals 30-21 Friday night behind Bradlee Van Pelt's three touchdown passes. Van Pelt, a second-year pro from Colorado State who won the No. 2 quarterback job behind Jake Plummer, completed 16 of 26 passes for 129 yards. Two of the scoring passes went to Darius Watts and the other to Todd Devoe.
